~A few new things~

Lately, I haven't really been buying much lolita. Maybe it's because not that many prints have caught my eye past my recent purchases my Angelic Pretty Milky Planet set, and my Angelic Pretty Vanilla~Chan set, or maybe I am becoming wiser with my money? (Haha, fat chance!!)

In any case, I've actually ben pretty entranced with a few items from Bodyline recently, especially the two new boater hats I got! No matter what anyone says, I still like quite a few of the things Bodyline produces. Personally, I do not adhear to "Only brand!" However, I do not adhear to only handmade, or only Bodyline/replicas either. I think that quality/fun items can be found just about anywhere, whether they're $1,000, or $10.

If you havent checked out Bodyline this winter, you should! There's a lot of cute outerwear.

Got some eyelashes, too! I can never resist buying false lashes, I buy them whenever I get the chance!!

Looks like Callie likes lolita, too! She curled up there right after I took the photo!

Wearing one of the new boater hats I got! I love it so much!!

So, what kinds of lolita/cute items have you all gotten, recently??

❤Vanilla~Chan❤

I wore my Vanilla~Chan set to a recent Oregon Lolita meet! I've never really posted "small" meet photos on my journal before, so I guess I'll take a sort of Daily Lolita approach! Most of these photos have been posted elsewhere, but a few of them are brand new ones that haven't been released publicly~

I like to mess around and edit photots sometimes, to see what I can come up with!!

I really looove my cat scarf that my friend Victoria made! The kitten is white, and goes well with the cats in the Vanilla Chan series!!

This was my full outfit!~

Accessory shots have always been one of my favourite things!!

Me and one of my best friends, Jenna! Doesn't she look so cute with her circle lenses?!

❤ Our outfits together!!❤

A candid shot one of the photgraphers took!! We both look soo happy!!

Another candid of us looking through our own photos!

What can I say, I love to climb trees!

And like most lolitas, I LOVE macaroons! They're pretty much the best, especially when they're Passion Fruit!!

I like burgers sometimes too, which probably isn'y very lolita! u_u

I really liked this one of myself! I look horrid in most candid shots, so I was surprised I managed to look like a normal human being in this one.

Overall, the meet was really fun! We went to the Portland Chocolate Fest. I think it was the 3rd or 4th annual lolita choco fest meet! It's always so fun every time!

What kind of local meets do you girls have??~

~Two Sets~

The more I look around my computer, the more I realize I have many sets of photos that I never did anything with, much beyond showing off a photo or two.

So, in light of this, I figured I would show off a few of my favourite old photos from two sets I never released beyond a daily lolita kind of format. :P

I'm really into graffiti. Someday, I'd really like to do a shoot with lolitsas & a bunch of graffiti!

This was actually pretty high up. Good thing I'm not afraid of heights!

I'm a troll!

Here are some photos from a second, earlier set.

Ahhh, how I love my Sugary Carnival dress! I don't think I could EVER sell it!

I honestly haven't been taking or modeling in pictures for some time now. I'd like to get back into it, however, as I find it to be a great artistic outlet!

What kinds of art are you guys all into?

☆Angelic Pretty event in San Jose☆

Ahh San Jose, I remember thee fondly! Up until recently, having missed the Angelic Pretty opening in San Fran, I had actually attended every US AP event!

Purikura is a favourite pasttime of mine. If you're ever in the California area, like LA or SF, you should look around for the chance to take pictures in one of these booths. Chances are, you'll end up with some pretty fucking hillarious outtakes, like the one above! To this day, it never fails to make me laugh~

For the event, this was inside our hotel room! This was my area of accessories. There were so many people in the room though, the whole room sort of looked like this!!

When I visit California, there are two places I always try to eat. Jonny Rockets, and In N Out. So good my friends, so good.

I don't usually dress in darker lolita styles, but while at the event I purchased a lovely Atelier Pierrot dress, since I had purchased a ticket to sit at the Gothic VIP table for the Tea Party. I was really happy with the dress, and I'm not sure I could ever stomach selling it!!

Oh Danny and Trevor, where would I be without both of your sillyness!!

I guess I have some humor of my own!

This was probably my favourite outfit that I wore during the weekend. I seriously LOVE Angelic Pretty's Dreamy Dollhouse!!

...parting is such sweet sorrow, my California days...

Announcement: More to come

This distance between us, it’s too great!
Sorry for the severe lack in updates for, what, more than the past half year?!

I notice that with all subjects, the more complicated something becomes, the less attention can be given to any one particular thing.
In this case, the thing that became complicated was life.

As much as I feel the internet has taught me great things in life, sitting idley in front of my glowing screen in a dark room at some point evolved, and I realized I'd graduated on to other things. Maybe I'm a late bloomer, or just an internet nerd, but the past almost year of my life I've put my focuses on things other than computers and internet communities.

In the past year I've broken up, made up,
traveled on many a jet plane, train, and automobile.
Shook the hand of quite a few charming young men,
and sort of been a vagabond.
Had a lot of highs, and quite a few lows.

Sometimes it just felt like I hadn't quite turned the page yet, or finished my chapter. Just felt like there were no words for me to proliferate into the neverending vapidity of the ether. I wasn't quite sure what to say, to put it simply.

This is by no means to say I'm am quitting the internet, or quitting my blog. Quite the opposite! I have come to realize that participating in functions online, as well as lolita communities was a large chunk of my life I'd been ignoring almost completley.

I finally feel like I have come to some sort of realization as to what I want out of life, and I finally feel like I can sit down and take a breather, for once.

In short: I'll be updating this public blog with a few back entries shortly, followed after by actual new entries.

This is the fucking year of the rabbit, my year bitches.

Look forward!
...moving on...

Pittsburgh Vacation!

So, Sterling & I went to Pittsburgh, PA a few weeks ago for our friend Minkie's 30th Birthday! It was also Kristina's 28th birthday! (Even though everyone told her she didn't get a birthday, this year!)
We arrived a day before most everyone, so that would could claim a good room. Their house was massive as it was though, I hope I am that well off at age 30! (Faaat chance!)

Mike was the first to arrive, so he met us along with Minkie & her husband Eric! The whole premise of the trip was that it was a "Zombie Survival Worksop." Weird idea, but ridiculously FUN! I don't have a picture, but scattered around Minkie & Eric's house were ambient zombie corpses, put together from old clothes and starch packing peanuts. Every morning I woke up, I kept thinking the Old Granny Zombie was some creeper sitting on the couch.
In the end, one zombie lived on the floor of the bathroom, and the rest got chucked into our gigantic bonfiefinalie as an offering.

Picking everyone else up from the airport, sans Eric. How did we all fit in one car? I don't know, but at one point we fit 2 more people and 2 dogs into this very same car. We're...really good at the whole clown car thing.

Among being creepy, Pittsburgh has some really neat alleys! If I'd have been there long enough, it would have been great to do a photoshoot of some kind!

On one of the first days, we visited a bird Aviary! I think Mike really liked this, as he works at one also, only in Eugene. This bird was kind of a stinker! I had worms in my hand, and I guess he'd already gotten his fill, because all he did to MY worms was beat them into a mush in my hand and then fly away. ._.

At Minkie's birthday dinner, Raul (Who did the fabulous art pictured above!) had gotten it framed so all her relatives and such could see.

This is what it looks like, up close! It's freaking FABULOUS! He is such an amazing artist, and even dpipicted everyone on the vacation in the piece. I'm the one on the top left with double hand guns, and Sterling is the crazy one with a sword flying off the bottom right corner. And of course, Minkie is on top, barking orders!!

We also even had a small lolita meet! I got to meet Kai & Cookie! They were so sweet, I hope I can meet them again! Sterling looks so silly in this photo, haha!

Everyone that attended the meet! Even the boys are in this shot! We visited a Botanical garden. It was amazing!

Me and the other birthday girl, Kristina! She's so cute! The day I took this photo we went tromping around in the woods of Pennsylvania.

There was lots and lots of riding quads. SO MUCH. And yep, those are high heel boots. I pretty much do everything in heels, and I do it well. Driving a quad was actually the first motorized vehicle I have ever driven. So glad I didn't kill myself! So glad.
We also did a LOT of paint-balling. I STILL have a welt/bruise from it, and this was WEEKS ago! I'm happy though, I nailed a sufficient amount of people.

This was one of the best night, in my opinion! Sterling decided to throw one of the starch packing peanut-filled zombies from the mezzanine, which caused its head to fall off. Then I decided it'd be cool to drop kick the head. Then someone else decided to dump all the peanuts out. Being starch, water causes them to become sticky. By the end of the night we had devolved to rolling around in them and licking and sticking them onto each other's faces.
I'm front and center in the photo, pretty much wringing my hands out going "WHYYY???"

For the most part, the trip was insanely fun! I can't think of how I could have had more fun of a time.

~When was your last vacation? Where was it?
~Are you going on a vacation soon??
~Do most of your vacations include something to do with lolita fashion?

Thank you for reading, and I hope you all are enjoying my blog, so far! I'll try to post regularly. :3

Circle Lenses

For the longest time, I had pined for circle lenses! I'd seen so many super cute Asian girls wearing them, and eventually people I knew in person became fans of wearing them. Personally I think, although they're unnatural and therefore a bit unsettling, that they're very cute in a doll-like way!

I purchased my circle lenses from a website called "Pinky Paradise"(http://pinkyparadise.com/)
The transaction went smoothly, and they arrived fairly quickly! I bought two different pairs from a series called "Wonder Eye." I chose blue, and green! (My eyes are naturally brown, so I wanted to try something different to me. In the future, I think I may try brown as it's more believable since it's my natural colour!)

I'd actually never put contacts in before in my entire life, the whole thing was really quite the ordeal for me! Even looking at what a coloured contact lense looked like was a pretty foreign thing to me.

You'll have to excuse the mascara; that's what happened to my makeup while trying to put the lenses in! ;_; Either way, it looks WAY different from my natural eyes! Circle lenses extend the coloured part of your eye, and make it appear as if your eyes are larger and cuter!

Here's just one photo of what they looked like in! I honestly thought the size of the lense was going to be what unsettled me most, but what was really the most odd to my was seeing myself with BLUE eyes! I think I like myself better with brown, haha!

What are your feelings on circle lenses?
~Do you like or disslike them?
~Do you think changing your eye colour is cheating??
~Do you think they're creepy, or cute?
Discuss!

Unrelated, but I'd like to give my friend Nitty a HUGE thanks! She totally re-vamped my entire blog, just for me, because she's just that much of an awesome friend! I think she made it look lovely!

I hope you've enjoyed my second entry! Thank you very much for looking, and I hope you'll be back to read more!~
